Xuechun Miao

I am Xuechun Miao, currently based in London. My previous major was advertising media design. The practice of design brought me a lot of satisfaction and happiness. I was born in China, I liked painting since I was a child, and I am interested in colours. I think the creation of colour brings people many emotions that cannot be expressed by words. I like to explore possibilities in design. The moment I get inspiration makes me excited. In daily life, I like to look at street signs and think about their advantages, disadvantages and creativity in time. I am interested in social issues, and I would like to investigate them in terms of design and think about the problems that design can discover and solve.

Harvesting Misunderstanding

My understanding of this article on misunderstanding is that misunderstanding is a tool and a medium of communication which promotes communication, cultural output and understanding. Starting from the concept of understanding and development, I reflected on some other ideas. Misunderstanding can be divided into four components: sight, hearing, smell and taste. These four instances are processed by the human sensory systems because people need to receive information from the outside world through these four senses to develop self-judgment. Misunderstanding is the result of information transmission and information reception. Speakers need to have communication skills and the ability to listen and receive information, and then reconstruct the information in the brain to form their own understanding.
