Mingjie Tang

I’m Mingjie. I’m in China. Before entering the MA course, I didn’t have working experience as a designer, but I am interested in graphic design especially in interactive design which lets the audience interact, and I'd like to explore more about it.

A school is a building with a school in it

According to the article, Paul (2006) argued that any building or space could be a school. School provides a chance for people to meet, talk and think. With the development of science and technology, students don't even have to gather in a physical space for classes. For example, we have classes online through Zoom or Teams due to the recent pandemic.

As a result, I want to visualise the time-based online school during this period using animation. In the project, I use lines to represent the space of the school, and dots to represent individuals. I am explaining the relationship between people and the space of school by the moving dots and the fixed lines.
